Nordhavn Europe are delighted to offer to the brokerage market one of the finest examples of the Nordhavn 55 we have built! ‘Tai-Pan’ has been in the loving care of her original build owners who have spent the last 18 years exploring and living half the year aboard in the Eastern Mediterranean. She was specified with the very best upgrades to her standard specification, and we worked closely with her owners to create a vessel easily handled by a couple and featuring many alterations to make ‘Med’ cruising simple. She was one of the earliest hulls to have a hydraulic passerelle and had the now legendary Lugger 1276 upgrade main engine with full hydraulics. All the spec you will see makes her a fabulous vessel, but what makes her special is the love and attention paid to her by her owners over the years. The service and maintenance records are astonishing! She is an absolute delight to view, and the adaptations and modifications made to her will give her next owners years of pleasure and trouble-free cruising.

Hydraulic System:

Full hydraulics package- includes anchor wash, bilge pump, bow and stern thrusters and proportional controls in 3 positions. This system is powered by the upgraded stabilizer hydraulic pump on the main engine. This comes with a second hydraulic pump mounted on a PTO off of the wing engine.

Plumbing

Fuel tanks:

Number and capacity: Four (4) main tanks totalling 8,517.18 litres (2,250 US gallons) with one (1) centreline aluminium ‘day tank’ at 117.3 litres (31 US gallons) which will gravity feed from main wing tanks and centre tank.

FRP construction using fire retardant gelcoat on outside of tanks to meet ABYC standards section H-33.20 for FRP fuel tanks.

Sight gauges provided for two (2) engine room fuel tanks and vented into main vent system for each tank.

A transfer manifold and Walbro (WLB 6803) 24 volt fuel pump with timer switch and Racor 900 fuel filter which can transfer fuel from one tank to another and scrub fuel while transferring. Transfer is also used to fill top part of supply reservoir for consumption testing when main fuel tank level drops below the level of the testing part of the reservoir.

Water tanks:

Number and capacity: One (1) baffled tank totalling 2,271.25 litres (600 US gallons)
