Knysna Yacht Company 480 NADI

NADI is a proven blue water circumnavigating catamaran. Designed by Angelo Lavranos, this 48 ft Knysna offers owners the confidence to travel anywhere in comfort and speed. The design features high bows, a long waterline, and ample bridge deck clearance, ensuring excellent sailing in various conditions. The bright interior, large staterooms, and heads provide a comfortable living space.

Owner Statement

We bought the boat for the comfort and build quality of the Knysna brand. After an extensive refit, we set sail through the Bahamas, specifically the Exuma chain, just my wife and me. The boat sails wonderfully in 15-20 knots of wind, achieving speeds of 7-9 knots even in heavier weather. We spent 6 months in the Bahamas, making great friends throughout the Exuma chain. We then sailed north to Jamaica, making our way down to Panama. The sail was wonderful with 20-30 knots of wind. We were reefed the whole time, still averaging 7.5 knots with 8-12 ft swells on the beam; the boat felt safe and comfortable. From Panama, we sailed to Saint Andres and Providencia, spending several months enjoying the water and Colombian culture. From Providencia, we sailed to the Cayman Islands, averaging over 180 miles a day. After that, we sailed back to Florida and found out we were going to have a baby. The boat is built super well and strong, and I have nothing bad to say about the design and construction. After 4 years of living on board, it was a very pleasant home.
