Simena is a luxury, performance cruising ketch, designed by Taka Yachts with classic lines and fitted with state-of-the-art parallel hybrid technology offering a clean, classic feel to a contemporary interior by Design Unlimited.
A yacht capable of cruising the world's oceans in utmost comfort, safety, and style. Built with a marine-grade steel hull and the largest composite (carbon and GRP) superstructure of a yacht of this type to date. Aluminum masts with stainless rod rigging by acclaimed naval engineer Chris Mitchell.
The Parallel Hybrid propulsion system allows for six different modes of diesel, electric, combined, and regeneration.
When delivered, at 62m LOA, SIMENA will join a fleet of 12 Sailing Yachts over 60m size range under 500GT.

Her classically inspired interior, influenced by the ‘golden era’ of yachting, merges timeless elegance with contemporary design. Hints of glamour shine through the finishes and fittings, creating a lasting impression. Walnut forms the foundation of the interior, complemented by tonal textured leathers and fabrics, accented with antiqued brass touches.
ACCOMMODATION:
The Yacht is designed and outfitted to accommodate 12 guests and 9 crew.
Owner's Suite: The full-beam owner’s suite, positioned forward on the main deck, boasts luxurious amenities for unparalleled comfort. Enjoy a walk-around berth, a private hot tub framed by marble, a spacious en-suite, and a dressing room.
Carefully illuminated fine woven metals encased in glass create semi-transparent divisions behind the king-size bed, while textural woven leather panels framed within the furniture construction add subtle yet distinctive feature elements within the cabin.
Guests Cabins: Offering luxurious accommodations, this vessel features three lavish double guest cabins, each with a private closet, vanity desk, sofa, and bathroom with a separate shower. Additionally, two twin guest cabins provide a cozy retreat with the option of bunk beds, a closet, and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower.
Showers are a combination of patterned tiles alongside Calacatta Oro and Patagonia White marbles.
Crew Area and Accommodation: Crew accommodations are thoughtfully designed with the captain's cabin and three twin crew bunk cabins located at aft, complete with private bathrooms and separate showers. A fully equipped galley, crew mess, dry storage, and engine room cater to operational efficiency. Furthermore, a laundry area is strategically positioned, featuring additional freezers for added storage capacity.
As an optional extension, two additional twin crew bunk cabins can be located at the forward section, sharing a dedicated bathroom for enhanced crew comfort and privacy.
INTERIOR:
The layout creates an elegant design to highlight the flow of the staircase in its different directions using considered geometry and finishes to complement the space.
The combination of walnut, brass, and leather makes for a glamorous and elegant feeling within the staircase, flanked by brass pillars and tinted mirrors all complementing one another.
Main Salon/dining: Seamless access to the main salon is provided by electric sliding doors on both the port and starboard sides of the aft deck. The spacious main salon invites relaxation with L-shaped sofas, coffee tables, and ottomans. A formal dining area features an L-shaped sofa and chairs seating up to 12 guests. Centrally located, the guest lobby area connects to a multi-directional staircase connecting the lower and upper decks elegantly.
Galley: The double-U-shaped galley is clean, contemporary, and fitted out with the best of Miele appliances. The design has also allowed for substantial extra freezer space forward.

EXTERIOR DECKS:
The exterior joinery keeps the roots of tradition embedded with mahogany elements alongside luxurious exterior upholstery.

The flybridge offers shade and magnificent vistas with a retractable sun awning while an exclusive 60m2 private foredeck lounge serves for perfect sunset parties.
Aft Deck: The aft deck offers a luxurious outdoor oasis, featuring large sunbeds and a Jacuzzi surrounded by plush side sofas. Aft, a convertible dining table accommodates up to 14 guests, complemented by a U-shaped lounge sofa perfect for al fresco entertaining. A fully equipped wet bar station with ample storage ensures refreshments are always close at hand.
Sundeck/Flybridge: Accessed via an automatic sliding glass companionway, the flybridge is low-key and functional. With twin helm stations port and starboard, panoramic visibility combined with a sliding sunroof to provide visibility to rig and sails. A comfortable lounging sofa and coffee table are complemented by another huge sun lounging pad aft.
Foredeck: On the foredeck, a sofa and coffee table create another inviting lounge area in front of the wheelhouse. Completing the amenities, a crane facilitates launching the custom limousine tender and rescue boat from the foredeck. The resulting foredeck space is vast and could lend itself as a shaded-chillout area during the day and dance floor by night.
The parallel hybrid propulsion by means of a single MAN diesel engine driving with Servogear Ecofow Propulsor solution of CP-Propeller also generated by a 220kW e-engine.
Three diesel generator sets to be installed for the electric power supply of the yacht. Electro-hydraulic tensile steering to be performed by a single rudder.
Tunnel type 120kW bow thruster and 100kW stern thruster will enhance manoeuvring.
An electronic remote-control system for propulsion for the vessel with CP-propellers is designed according to the fail-safe principle and is built up with a high level of redundancy.
Modes of Propulsion System: The system is very user-friendly, highly accurate, advanced, and flexible with six modes.
Compared to similar-sized sailing vessels her top speed will be 1 knot above the average. Range of 4000NM @11 knots cruising speed. 220kW e-motors supplemented by single 882kW diesel engine for a top speed of 14 knots. Silent operation under e-power up to 6 knots.

Exterior joinery keeps the roots of tradition embedded with varnished mahogany elements alongside luxurious exterior upholstery.
DECK JOINERY
Ethically sourced real Myanmar teak decking is provided for all exterior decks. The final dimensions of the teak planks are to be approved by the exterior designer. Teak planks are to have a thickness of min 13 mm after initial sanding.
DECK EQUIPMENT
All electrical equipment, wiring, cables, fixtures etc. and the complete installation shall be in accordance with the Classification Society rules and Builder’s drawings. All electrical equipment to be located so as to be readily accessible for maintenance, repair or removal and to be of a type proven satisfactory for marine use, in accordance with Builder’s choice.
A complete paint system from International and Awlgrip, or equivalent, to be used. Jotun system to be used for technical areas and tanks. Topcoat paint for hull, superstructure, masts and booms is specified as Awlgrip Light Ivory.
AV SYSTEM Independent Yet Interconnected
The yacht is equipped with a tailor-made and user-friendly Audio Video Entertainment System and Lighting Automation throughout the yacht for a premium onboard experience. Guests have the flexibility to customize audio settings, volume levels, and even lighting preferences for each independent zone.

All leisure equipment is to be supplied by the Owner respecting the design conditions. The Builder will approve the type and dimensions of the subject equipment due to the capacity of the cranes and reserved area dimensions. The Builder is to provide cradles for the subject equipment.
