Breguet Type XX - XXI - XXII RARE SPECIAL TYPE 20 XX FLYBACK FROM 1955 WITH EXTRACT

Breguets have something extra... not only since it's one of the oldest watch brands but their presence is different. Especially the early Pilot watches... the type of steel used, solid big crowns and special dials make them extra special and very high quality! The best of all the Type 20's. The example here is such a stunning watch and a bit extra special than the average Type 20. Why? It's one of the last of the first batch, eiter an intermediate model or even a prototype. Most of these are made from 1954 to mid 1955 and bear sterile dials (without Breguet), after came the same dials with Breguet but this one here has a dial hardly seen, as it has the larger and beautiful minute counter but still retailing the outer minute track from the first examples (later ones had simple indicators, not numerals). On top, the original dial is in super nice condition! The steel 38mm case retains it's original crown and has several FG marks and ref on the back (Type 20 / 5105-54). Movement is the high grade Flyback Valjoux 222 which is in perfect condition. Attached is a lovely black pigskin strap. Another plus is the Attestation stating it was sold to the Ministere de l'Air on November 16th 1955. Certainly one of the best ones around.
