Performance

The Viking 58 can reach fishing or cruising grounds quickly with various engine packages from MAN and MTU, allowing it to cruise in the mid-30s and reach WOT in the low 40s depending on sea conditions.

The second-generation 58 Convertible has garnered numerous five-star reviews for its dry ride, nimble handling, spacious cockpit, and interior attributes. Viking President and CEO Pat Healey states, “We’re successful with every model we release, but there are times when you hit one right out of the ball park.”

Viking sold over 110 of its first-generation 58 Convertible from 1991 to 2000, establishing the company as a sportfishing leader. The new Gen II 58 C is positioned as a tournament champion and a high-performance family cruising yacht.

Design Evolution

The 58 C builds on the success of the first-generation 58 and incorporates features from two generations of the 55 Convertible. It maintains the same 17’9” beam while optimizing the length-to-beam ratio for enhanced ride and interior volume.
