Island Packet 37 Sugaree

The IP37 replaced/upraded the very successful IP 35 in 1995. Though the 37 had an entirely new and larger hull, deck and interior, the most significant change was moving the rack and pinion steering mechanism from under the helm seat to under the binnacle which hid the steering shaft making moving around the cockpit so much easier.

The first owner of Sugaree also updated the Mainsail with an inside-the-mast Charleston Spars Furling System, 350 style Sternrail seats and much more.

The current owners cruised her to the Bahamas and are now looking for their next adventure. She has been continually upgraded and maintained.

Island Packets were built with a solid glass hull and a synthetically cored deck with an integral bow sprit, full foil keel plus a spade rudder. Packets are very modern cruisers.
