Water resistance is not a permanent property according to DIN 8310.It should be checked annually and before special stresses, as the built-in density elements diminish in their function and in daily use. Influences such as strong temperature fluctuations, chlorine, soap, or saltwater negatively affect the water resistance.

Please avoid a common mistake: Never operate the crown or chronograph of the wristwatch underwater, regardless of the specified water resistance.
