Boat Description

Rio is a drop-dead gorgeous Hunt Yachts Harrier 36 with twin-engine prop performance to match her stunning looks. Perhaps the ultimate day boat with an interior ready for weekends, she boasts the space on deck of a much larger yacht with plenty of versatile seating both in the cockpit and on the bridge deck along with great features like a transom door and bridge deck bar unit, helm settee.

A true Hunt deep-vee hull which planes easily at 13-14 knots and runs happily, efficiently and flat from there on up to her fast cruise of 30+ knots. While most of us are looking to avoid rough water these days, the Hunt hull has no peer when the wind and waves come up, providing a dry ride with truly exceptional tracking ability.

This Hunt Yachts Harrier 36 underwent an extensive refit in 2022/2023, carried out by one of the premier boatyards in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. She is powered by twin Yanmar V8 370HP diesel engines, which received a full overhaul during the refit, including the installation of new intercoolers and exhaust elbows.

The refit also featured the installation of new Raymarine A/P navigation equipment, new electrics and batteries, new black tank and toilet pump, updated upholstery both on deck and below, a fresh topside paint finish, and new canvas covers.

In January 2025, a new Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) certificate was issued for this Harrier 36, confirming her compliance with UKCA standards following the comprehensive refit.
