Fountain's race-proven 42' Lightning holds the current V-bottom world speed record at 143.946 mph, showcasing its impressive performance with stock horsepower. Staggered engines bring the props closer together and maintain a low center of gravity along the keel, optimizing performance. Preferred power is twin 525 EFI Mercury's (80+ mph), with the option to upgrade to 1550 QC4V's for triple-digit speeds.

This 42 Lightning is powered by a pair of staggered 525 Mercury Racing engines coupled to Bravo XR drives.

The top ends of the motors were just completed, and a compression test was performed on Aug 5, 2024, with no additional hours logged since. Photos of the engine hours from the computers are included in the gallery.

The interior features a fresh custom carbon dash.

A triple axle trailer is included!

This boat served as the show boat for TIRET Watches and features a unique custom graphic. Please note that the seller has indicated some dock rash on the painted graphics that can be easily addressed.

A new companionway top lid and swim ladder hatch are on order from Fountain.
