Cockpit / Deck Layout

The cockpit is designed for socializing and comfort, offering a generous amount of space for a boat of its size.

• Helm Position: Located on the starboard side (right side when facing forward). It features a comfortable helm seat, often with a bolster to allow for both sitting and standing while driving. The dashboard is well-laid out fitted with navigation instruments Including a Raymarine GPS/Chart Plotter and various gauges.
• Passenger Seating: the pilot and co-pilot seat or sofa is located in front of the helm, with an extra twin seat for co-pilot / passengers.
• Aft Cockpit: The main social area is in the aft cockpit, which features a large U-shaped sofa. This seating area surrounds a high-gloss teak table. The table can be lowered and converted into a large sunbed, creating a huge lounge area.
• Wet Bar: To port, behind the co-pilot seat, is a wet bar area with a sink and a refrigerator, making it easy to serve drinks and snacks without going below deck.
• Swim Platform: The transom leads to a spacious swim platform with a swim ladder, perfect for water sports or easy boarding.
• Engine Hatch: The cockpit sole lifts (often with an electro-hydraulic mechanism) to reveal the engine room.
• Hardtop Option: The Windy 37 Grand Mistral was available in both an open version with a canvas cover and a hardtop (HT) version with an electric sunroof, which was a pioneering feature at the time.

• Saloon: Upon descending the steps, you enter the main saloon. The galley is typically to starboard, and an L-shaped or U-shaped sofa with a dining table is to port. The saloon is bright, with excellent headroom and high-gloss wood finishes.
• Galley: The galley is compact but functional, featuring a gas oven and stove, a sink, and a front-loading refrigerator. It has a high-quality composite or Corian worktop.
• Forward Cabin (Master): Located in the bow, this cabin features a comfortable double berth, ample storage in wardrobes and lockers, and reading lights.
• Midships Cabin (Guest): The aft cabin is located under the cockpit and offers a large double bed. It is surprisingly spacious for a mid-cabin design, with good standing room at the entrance and a wardrobe.
• Heads / Bathroom: A single heads compartment is shared by both cabins. It includes a marine toilet, a sink, and a shower with hot and cold water. While compact, it is a practical and well-appointed space.
