Boat Description

Beautiful aluminium Northern Comfort 43 sailing yacht with cutter rigging. Yacht architect Dick Zaal is one of the most well-known and experienced Dutch yacht architects, known among other things as the in-house architect for Contest Yachts, and certainly needs no introduction to experienced sailors. His designs excel in seaworthiness and are therefore popular among long-distance cruisers. The Northern Comfort 43 is a high-quality yacht built of aluminium and insulated with PU foam above the waterline. It is a true offshore sailing yacht for the discerning sailor, ideal as a comfortable long-distance cruiser, thanks in part to the 2.16-meter deep keel and fixed sprayhood. The boat underwent a major refit during the winter of 2012–2013; see all details regarding this in the specifications list. Since then, the boat has consistently received excellent maintenance and is in fully seaworthy condition.

Interior Features

The interior is certainly as beautiful as the exterior, with light oak paneling. There is a fixed sprayhood from which you have a good view of the boat and surroundings and can sit sheltered, which is ideal in rougher conditions. Upon entering through the so-called doghouse, the navigation corner is located on the port side, housing all navigation and communication equipment. On the starboard side is the wet cell with toilet and shower. Amidships is the saloon, featuring a longitudinal settee on the port side and an L-shaped settee on the starboard side. On the starboard side is the practical galley with a solid Force-10 gas stove-oven combination and refrigeration. In the bow is the owner's cabin with a double V-berth and en-suite wet cell with shower. The engine room at the entrance was refurbished, and the engine is easily accessible from all sides for servicing.
