About the location: The finca is located in the Axarquia, a region known as La Huerta de Málaga or the vegetable garden of Málaga and which has the most sunshine hours of the entire mainland of Europe (almost 3,000 in 2018). In spite of that, the summers are considerably less hot than elsewhere in Andalusia and it is less cold in the winter because the mountains around stop the cold and the warm southern wind from Africa then lingers there and the humidity is low. Partly because the house is also at 450 meters above sea level, it is almost never uncomfortably warm on the finca. The temperature rarely exceeds 30º (86ºF) and is very pleasant in the winter. In January the temperature in the shade is often 20ºC (68ºF). Vegetation Ca. 100 olive and almond trees (which are maintained by a Spaniard who receives the harvest as payment).
