New standing rigging in March 2019
Bow and Stern thrusters with powered lift keel
Larger 56Hp engine with twin high output alternators
Full cockpit tent, matching sprayhood and wheel covers
12" hybrid Raymarine Navigation at both helms
Powered winches
Removable bowsprit
Twin foresails cutter rig option
Probably the best specified Southerly 38 to have come to market, with an upgraded engine (56HP) that was last serviced in February 2025, 75kg thrust bow and stern thrusters, Balmar high output 2nd alternator (100AHr & 80 AHr) and double head sail, she is a purposeful boat in great order.
It is obvious that the owner has taken good care of her with covers aplenty. The cockpit is a lovely place to be with a full cockpit tent to keep the elements at bay and create an additional space to relax.
The twin helms have duplicate recent hybrid 12" chart plotters giving all the required information regardless of which tack you are on.
Down below is more good news with a very spacious saloon with folding table. Once open this gives scope to entertain up to eight, head height is great and all furnishings are of an excellent standard with plenty of wood and strong handholds.
The galley is well equipped with a gas hob, grill, oven, fridge, microwave and sink.
The forward cabin offers a generous double berth with infill. Lockers and storage space is good. A Jack'n'Jill arrangement for the heads allows access from both the cabin and saloon, and again is a good height allowing for a shower (attachment is off the basin). Forward manual head (electric to aft head).
To Aft is another amazing cabin with an island bed with light and ventilation above and seating to each side with plenty of storage and room to move about, again a Jack'n'Jill arrangement to the head provides convenient access from both the cabin and saloon.
Northshore Southerly Yachts are renowned for making well-built cruiser racers with excellent seaworthiness and are proven 'blue-water' yachts. They comfortably hold their own against Najads, Hallberg Rassys, Malos and Swan Yachts to name a few in the upper luxury bracket and have an enviable reputation amongst knowledgeable offshore sailors.
Unlike her competition she has the powered lifting keel that enables her to explore estuaries and go places usually the preserve of smaller yachts.
