Construction and Design

From stern to the keel sump, Hunter added a Kevlar laminate to give extra protection against collisions. This adds an extra level of security and strength but not weight, where it is needed most. Antimonious Lead Keels - real hardened lead keels are attached with stainless steel keel bolts, which, although more expensive than iron, provide superior performance, safety, and minimum maintenance.

Upgrades and Maintenance

This particular Hunter 426 has been continuously upgraded, with a major system refit exceeding €40,000 in 2023, following a full survey in France. She received a full anti-osmosis treatment in 2023 and antifouling in 2025. Her current owner has ensured that all the important systems, rigging, electronics, and equipment have been renewed or significantly improved. The yacht represents one of the cleanest and most trustworthy examples of the Hunter 426 available in Europe.
