Boat Overview

Choices is a 1992 36' Grand Banks Europa model. She features a single Sabre Lehman 135 HP main engine, a Northern Lights 5 kW generator, a Side Power bowthruster, original factory fiberglass non-skid decks, upper and lower helms, and a 2 stateroom layout. Choices is Great Loop capable.

36' Grand Banks Vessel Walkthrough

From the hardtop covered aftdeck, you can walk out either same-level side deck, step up the stainless steel & teak ladder to the flybridge, or step into the salon via the sliding teak & glass door. Inside the salon, you will find entertainment/storage cabinetry starboard aft, L-shaped seating with storage and a table to port, galley port forward, bar starboard, and the lower helm with side deck access door starboard forward. Walk forward and step down the companionway to find the guest stateroom to port, the head with enclosed shower to starboard, and the master stateroom forward. Engine room access is via three salon sole hatches.

The headroom in the salon is 6'6", 6'9" on the aftdeck, 6'6" on the flybridge, 6'5" in the master stateroom, 6'4" in the guest stateroom, and 6'1" in the shower. The master stateroom berths are 6'2" long and the guest stateroom berth is 6'7" long.

The height from the waterline to the top of the mast is 20'6", 15'9" to the top of the bimini, and 13' to the flybridge windscreen.

Choices offers a master stateroom forward with a v-berth and insert, and a guest stateroom to port with a single berth that converts into a double size berth. The head with enclosed shower is to starboard.

The salon features L-shaped seating (Recovered in Crypton in 2023) with storage and a table to port, entertainment and storage cabinetry starboard aft, bar to starboard, sliding teak & glass door aft, side deck access door starboard forward, carpet over teak parquet sole, opening center window, opening side windows with screens and curtains (2023), bug screens on all windows, doors, and hatches, shelves, reading light, and engine room access.

The galley is located port forward in the salon.

The master stateroom is forward and offers a v-berth with an insert (With Temperpedic mattress topper), opening side windows with screens and curtains (2022), overhead hatch with a screen, bound carpet over teak parquet sole, fan, reading lights, mirror, 2 hanging lockers, storage drawers, cabinet, and shelves. The walls were repainted in 2023.

The head with enclosed shower is starboard aft.

36' Grand Banks Guest Stateroom

The guest stateroom offers a single size berth that converts into a double size berth (Recovered in 2017), opening side windows with screens and curtains (2022), hanging locker, storage cabinet, shelves, fan, reading lights, and a sliding privacy door. The walls were repainted in 2023.

The head with enclosed shower is to starboard.

The lower helm is starboard forward in the salon and offers a side deck access door, bowthruster control, engine control, AM wipers, and electronics as detailed in the electronics section of this presentation.

The flybridge features a bimini, non-skid deck, helmseat starboard forward, benchseat fore and aft on each side with storage, storage under the helm, hinge mast base, electronics as detailed in the electronics section of this presentation, bowthruster control, engine control, and a stainless steel & teak ladder to the aftdeck.

The aftdeck offers 2 deck chairs and a table, fresh water hot/cold deck shower, non-skid deck, hardtop, same-level side deck access, sliding teak & glass door to the salon, stainless steel & teak ladder to the flybridge, sun screens, and lazarette access.
