History of the "New Class" This sedan belongs to BMW's legendary "New Class." It was produced with various engine variants from 1966 to 1972. The design is by Wilhelm Hofmeister, with Michelotti reportedly providing consulting assistance. Alex von Falkenhausen contributed the outstanding M10 engine. In 1969, the first BMW 2000 with mechanical fuel injection (short tii) appeared. The sedan, highly successful in motorsport, gained legendary status when Hubert Hahne was the first to complete a touring car race in under 10 minutes in 1966. History of the BMW 2000 tii This originally delivered BMW sedan as a 2000 was thoroughly converted to a 2000 tii in the 1980s. Originally delivered in "Agave green" with black interior and a mechanical sunroof, this vehicle was equipped with all sensible extras. It now features a 2-liter BMW tii engine with mechanical Kugelfischer injection and 130 HP, combined with a 5-speed sports transmission and sports suspension, as well as the rare Alpina steel wheels. Inside, we find contemporary sports seats, a BMW sports steering wheel (Takata Petri), and extended instrumentation with the 5 beautiful gauges.Round armatures from VDO. The technology is always
well maintained and functions flawlessly. The paintwork is
of very good quality, with no signs of rust visible.
All in all, it is a very sporty 4-door
limousine, also suitable for a trip with the whole family.
The absolute wolf in sheep's clothing. In our opinion, these
BMW models are still completely underrated. General This offer is non-binding and subject to prior sale.
