Grand Banks Yachts were founded in 1956 under the original yard name of American Marine and are still building high quality, beautiful motor yachts today. The 'Alaskan 49' was built by American Marine in their Hong Kong yard featuring Mahogany planking on Yakal frames and is one of the most iconic design classics from the drawing board of renowned Naval Architect Robert Dorris.

Stepping through the transom door from the stern brings you aboard Alaskan Star. The aft deck is roomy, with high gunnels and beautiful teak wood decking. The extended upper deck provides cover for the entire lower aft deck. Covered side decks take you to her raised pilothouse and foredeck area.
Enter through the double door into the main saloon of Alaskan Star from the aft deck and you step into a beautiful, bright, and roomy living area with all round windows and lovely teak wood panelling and parquet flooring and carpets. This salon is designed very comfortably for extended living and entertaining onboard.
