SEA BOLD Overview

SEA BOLD is a custom-built motor yacht inspired by C. Raymond Hunt's classic designs. Crafted in 2003 by New England Boatworks in Rhode Island, this vessel combines timeless elegance with high functionality, ideal for yachting enthusiasts who value luxury and performance. Constructed with Kevlar and Carbon Fiber composite, SEA BOLD provides exceptional strength and seakeeping abilities, featuring a deep vee hull design. After a recent refit, she remains in immaculate condition, maintained by a dedicated captain/engineer and steward. With a fast-cruising speed of 22 knots and a top speed of 25 knots, SEA BOLD ensures an enjoyable cruising experience.

Overview

Designed by Ray Hunt Design and built by New England Boatworks, SEA BOLD features epoxy/e-glass over PVC coring with carbon fiber reinforcement. This construction results in lightweight, superior strength, and excellent performance and efficiency. Her sea-keeping ability reflects Ray Hunt Design’s legendary reputation. The casually elegant design and layout facilitate ease of operation for both guests and crew. SEA BOLD offers a four-stateroom layout complemented by two crew cabins (two bunks each), distinguishing her from similar vessels in her class. Consistent upgrades and service, along with regular use, have kept this yacht in excellent condition.

Salon

The spacious Salon features large seating areas with beautiful sightlines. White walls and ceiling sections, contrasted with teak trim and cabinetry, create a comfortable elegance. Covered side decks provide added shade. Beyond the built-in bar console area and flybridge stairway are the Dining Room and Study.

Four Stateroom Layout

SEA BOLD features a four-stateroom layout, including two “Master Staterooms” with ensuite heads and two guest rooms with side-by-side bunks and a shared head. Access is via the staircase just forward of the Salon. The two Master Staterooms can be connected via a closeable double door, allowing for a full-beam Master Suite configuration.

Flybridge Outdoor Seating

Aft of the Enclosed Flybridge is an Outdoor Seating area beneath the extended roof. Built-in fiberglass seating with storage and a dining table are located to port, while an entertainment built-in with a sink, refrigeration, storage, and a television is to starboard. A cooktop or grill could easily be added to enhance this area.

Lower Aft Deck

The Lower Aft Deck features covered seating for six and a wet bar/storage area. The Salon is just steps away, along with a ladder to the flybridge. This area is surrounded by waist-high combing with walk-through gates, providing excellent protection for small children or pets. A canvas extension offers additional weather protection over the seating, with a removable “sail” that can be extended over the portion of the aft deck outside the seating area, where three more chairs are located.

Main Exterior Decks

Walk-around decks provide unobstructed access around the boat. In-deck storage compartments are located on the side decks, with a large storage compartment in the forward section of the coach top and a bosun’s locker aft on the starboard side. Stairs lead down to the swim platform, which features an in-deck compartment for the tide-ride stair system.

Crew Quarters

Engine Room

A hatch in the deck of the Lower Aft Deck provides access to the spacious engine room, located in the after-most compartment. Equipment access is outstanding.

Main Machinery

• Powered by twin CAT 3412E engines, producing 1,440 hp each


• Port engine had a top-end rebuild in 2020 and has 1,065 hours since overhaul. Total hours 4,925 (Aug 2025)


• Starboard engine had a total in-frame rebuild in 2020 and has had 1,072 hours added since. Total engine hours 4,832 (Aug 2025)
