Satıcının açıklaması

“My first goal was to make the 41 a good sailboat.”

Dick Vermeulen, designer and builder of the Maine Cat 41.

Finer hulls than the condo cats, twin daggerboards instead of mini-keels, and all composite construction add up to make a boat that will sail circles around the other brands touting that your liveaboard experience will be just like your land-based home. Above decks you have the expansive bridge deck covered by a permanent hardtop with 360° visibility and roll-up clears allowing you to control the environment. Below decks you'll find the living spaces open and airy, bright with enough wood accents so that it isn't stark.

This has always been a well maintained and well kept boat.

Blue Bamboo was built off the molds of the well loved Maine Cat 38 as prototype to the Maine Cat 41, in Bremen, Me. She is 3,000 lbs lighter than the 41 with expansive sugar scoops added. Her rotating carbon fiber rig, daggerboards, and slippery hulls allow her to sail faster than wind speed in light air and make 200+ mile days. The flat bottomed sugar scoops allow stable surfing when things pick up. This boat is sailed from the safety of a central cockpit with full weather protection, all electric winches and little need to go on deck (spinnaker only). She is ready and capable of everything from competitive local racing to single handed ocean crossings.

She has been lived aboard and singlehanded for the past seven years by a structural engineer who intended to use this boat for his second circumnavigation but life changes caused that plan to be scrapped and his beloved boat put up for sale.
